I am not sure if this is a good thing.
Who do you complain to if the final product doesn't work?

Complain to the tiny little corporate bureaucrats, who will also be assembled for your pleasure.

Seriously, though, there have been a lot of cautionary tales about what would happen to economies and freedom, should a "replicator" machine ever become available. Most of those were probably grossly exaggerated, but it is true that the presence of nearly-free energy, and/or nearly-free manufacturing, would end "economy" as we know it, because current economic theory is completely based on the idea that goods are only available in limited supply.

So, we would have to make sure that the outcome is a good one. We would probably have a choice: anarchy and chaos, or a "Star Trek" like world with free energy and Replicators.

Of course, this is not quite a replicator, able to make anything... but it is a step in that direction.
