The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has funded a project to build robotic spy drones disguised as birds. The version featured in this film is a self propelled robotic hummingbird.

Excellent post. I think that this technology has serious potential uses. I do agree they need more varieties of birds to make application more viable.

What a great breakthrough considering man has attempted to emulate a birds fight for centuries and i sure if they can simulate a Hummingbird that other types of birds would not be as difficult.
