I totally detest using the keyboards on any mobile devise and to me this will not be much of an improvement, I would say the best in my mind is to perfect a decent voice to text program.

This is actually an incredibly interesting way of re-inventing computerized writing. Imagine one of these for a desktop, with the space of a standard keyboard - you could have the entirety of the alphabet in the space of the numpad. All that extra room would be nice, you could take the standard keyboard design and turn it into a gaming console.
